King Garden

King Garden has truly stepped up their game with the introduction of online ordering! This new feature has made the entire process incredibly convenient, especially for quick pick-ups. The ease of placing an order online has saved me valuable time, and I appreciate the effort they've put into making the customer experience seamless. Additionally, I'm delighted to share the exciting news that King Garden has added bubble milk tea to their menu for the new year. As a fan of the classic original bubble milk tea, I couldn't be happier with this delightful addition. The flavor is spot-on, and the tapioca pearls are perfectly chewy – a true treat for my taste buds! My kids and I have found our new favorite spot for bubble milk tea, and we can't get enough of King Garden's fantastic offerings. The combination of excellent service, convenient online ordering, and the delicious bubble milk tea has earned King Garden a well-deserved 5-star rating in my book. Keep up the great work!

King Garden is a Zanesville staple. I will always love it because I grew up with it. In typical small-town fashion, people are talking about an ownership change and a change in the food, so I knew I had to try it for myself. Sadly, I have noticed a change. I have tried it twice in the last week, once with white rice and once with fried rice, both times General Tso’s. What I have encountered is a change in both rices as well as the chicken. The rice is noticeably saltier and less tender and sticky. The chicken, which used to be doused in sauce yet still somehow crunchy and crispy, has changed to something that resembles Sam’s Club frozen chicken that was heated in an oven before being tossed in sauce. It is grittier, drier, and nowhere near the same crispiness that I grew up loving. Overall, the food quality in both of these visits was the same, but disappointing. I am leaving what I feel is a realistic review for a couple reasons: change can be difficult to navigate and perhaps we will see the quality return AND while it wasn’t what I am used to and in my opinion objectively worse, it wasn’t awful. I will continue to support King Garden and try it from time to time just to check, but I fear that if the change I’ve noticed is permanent, Zanesville lost a staple.

We haven’t ordered from the restaurant in a couple months but I have heard they changed owners. The food is not the same. The service is not the same. The price went up and you get half the portions. We ordered general tso and personally there was no sauce. The rice was dry. The meat was dry and it didn’t taste very well Through all of it away $20 for two smalls portions what a waste and I will never go back

September 10, 2022 Stopped in for dinner for my dad's birthday since he was craving some Chinese food. We had never eaten at this location before. The customer service was nice and friendly. The food did take about 20 minutes from the time we ordered until it reached the dine-in table. Was disappointed they only had Pepsi products in cans to serve and no hot or iced tea and they don't have the yellow sauce for the Ohio War Su Gai, only brown gravy. 😞 The interior definitely could use updating due to the fact the wall paper was peeling, the floors were stained and scuffed, the tables were old and uncomfortable and tops had stains on them. It honestly felt a bit dirty and the and it just felt a bit distressed. Had the interior been updated and in better condition, and had they had real soft drinks, I would give the place 5 stars. But honestly my family won't be returning to this location until the interior is done over and feels clean.
